Great people and really good, fresh-cooked food! if you remember Sunday 'dinner' back in the day you'll love this place. Best friend chicken I've ever tasted. Period.

Reasonably priced food. Quick lunch and is convenient to the Max and train station.

Hometown cafe. Good home style cooking. Great service. Fast service for lunch break. Great location. Parking can be a problem around 12:00 on weekdays.

Went here for breakfast. The food was good southern cooking, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was laid back. It felt like granny decided to open a restaurant and just built her kitchen but larger. Would definitely come back.

Jean's is a staple of Meridian life with the senior "Coffee Club" meeting early in the morning and a friendly staff. The best breakfast in town and a gathering place for locals for years. Home cooking at good prices, Jean's won't disappoint, just be patient finding parking while construction goes on across the street.

Great and authentic soul food at unbeatable prices. Nice and helpful staff. Even though we got there almost an hour before closing time and some items were gone, we were very satisfied with the menu options we got and the size of the portions. Two thumbs up!! 👍🏻👍🏻

The food is delish which is why I continue to call in my orders. The servers are not very welcoming neither is the cashier.

Good food, great prices. I'm not sure why folks are so wild about this place, it is your standard small town diner. That's not a bad thing, just don't expect anything fancy. It's small and in need of a remodel, but the service and food were both good. I had breakfast here with my family, and it was about $5 per person, so you can't beat the price. Our biggest complaint is that they need real butter and maple syrup. If you need a decent breakfast for cheap, you found it!

Driving I20 across MS, looking for a good home style breakfast. Navigated an hour to Jean's. I was underwhelmed, indifferent staff, slow service, drab interior. Food was good but left hungry $16 + tax for 2. Need to learn to lower my expections, sadly. attentive service.

Cool hole in the wall for homemade southern breakfast.

We are new to town and this probably the best meal we have had yet. Service was superb, and the food was like what Grandma used to make. We will being all of our outnof town visitors here for a taste of good ole country food!
